What To Pack While Traveling Post Lockdown? – We’ve Got You Covered!

As many of you know, we traveled to Udaipur recently on the occasion of Rinnku’s birthday. It was our first travel post lockdown. If you have missed reading that, then please click here to read our part I of our Blog which has all the details about how it all happened.

Fixing a place and booking the tickets are all fine but what do we need with us to ensure a smooth vacation is very crucial.  If you’re planning a trip too, you must be wondering what to take with you that fits the agenda of new “normal”, right? We have penned down this guide to what are the essential stuff you must carry while traveling after COVID-19 pandemic. We made a list of things to carry which are more unusual than the normal checklist. Here it goes!

Things to carry apart from the normal list – especially to travel in the pandemic:-

The First List is all about the medicines that one should carry along, so that if the need arise, you can start with the medication without any delay (which is the need of the hour). Any kind of delay in the treatment can be dangerous.

So, let’s check the “Medicine Checklist” 🙂

1.   Medicine pouch for Covid-19: This medical list has been advised by our family doctor & also approved by the WHO, however, we still strongly suggest you get in touch with your physician and consult with them before having any. If you have any specific illness & are allergic to any medicine – please consult your doctor. The medicines that we carried are –  Tab Ecosprin 75 mg; Tab Tamiflu 75 mg; Tab Azee 500 mg; Tab Dolo 650 mg; Tab Lime 500 mg; Cap Zincovit; Tab Vit D3; Tab Pan D.

2.      Steamer.

3.      Oximeter.

4.      BP machine (this is not necessary, however, we had carried along).

5.      Turmeric powder – we have this in warm water every morning (you may get this in the hotel you stay, however, we prefer taking it along always to all our trips coz this is how our morning starts regularly.

6.      Regular medicines if you any prescribed medication

7. Sanitizer, Paper soap & Wet Tissues

The next list is about the food we carried along with us. This was very new for us, as we are literally not used to doing this. However, we were quite happy with the food selection we had:

Things to carry while travelling in Covid19

1.   Bread Chutney Cheese Slice – so, we made cheese sandwiches & took along with us for our road journey, because we didn’t want to eat anything on the highway & trust us this was the best thing we did.

2.   One thermos bottle of hot water – to make instant tea or coffee (premix tea & coffee sachets).

3.   Nutri bars, Nutella bars & bite-size Cookies (all these healthy bars by The Baking Gurl)  for the sweet cravings. They have many options for the pocket bars which are not only healthy but filling as well.

4.   Nuts & Dry fruits.

5. Mints & Chewing gums to help your anxiety be in control (if you are like Rinnku :p)

6. We even picked a few ready-made mixes of Poha & Upma to have them on the way or for our entire stay, if in case we have midnight cravings. (It will also help you save some extra bucks 😉 )

7. Few biscuits packets (of your choice)

8. Dry Bhakri packet, Theplas & Khakras (we didn’t carry it along, but it can be a good option to take if you like them for the entire trip & even for the road journey. They usually stay for 3 to 4 days or more easily)

9. Regular water bottles so that you don’t have to halt even for water.

That’s it! Let’s not make the list bigger & scarier. 😀

But we truly hope it helps. Also, if you have any more suggestions or some good options then please do leave that in the comments, so that it can be helpful for us in our next trip. Thank you in advance 🙂

checklist is ready for things to carry while travelling in Covid 19

P.S.- COVID-19 is still around us and not planning to leave us soon. Offices, shops, stores are slowly opening up after lockdown so is the travel industry. However, only domestic travel has opened & international travel will not open until September or October for the tourists (as per current guidelines). Traveling to domestic sectors have certain rules to be followed. Please check the particular state rules much before you start your planning. It’s very important to follow & adhere to the rules to be safe & keep people safe around you. Frankly speaking, once our food & medicine was sorted, we both were dusted off worries after this and Rinnku literally felt a huge relief. So, we are sure, this will definitely come handy to you all as well!
