Life In An Island Paradise – Rinnku’s Ode To The Charm Of The Maldives!

In this post, I’m going to pen down all the moments of our happiness, realizations, fun, and peace experienced during our beautiful stay for four nights at the Maldives. As you already know, the Maldives is the best place for a short vacation! It is so surreal that it makes for an ideal romantic getaway, close to the heart of honeymooners.

I had been there earlier but the excitement was as high as the first time because this time it was with Ritz. I was just waiting to see his first reaction after landing in the Maldives. Yes, I think one can feel the essence of the place the minute you land at the airport. Right?

It was a long journey for us to arrive at the destination since we had to take another domestic flight to reach Hideaway Beach Resort. Our resort staff started pampering us the minute we reached the Male airport by providing us with the lounge, food, juices, wifi, and everything that can woo a tourist! They took care of the luggage and made sure we are comfortable until we boarded our domestic flight.

After reaching the Hanimaadhoo airport we were escorted to the speed boat and then reached the resort. The welcome at the resort was so warm. The view, location, flower garland, welcome drinks, a cold water towel, the smiling faces of the team members just took away all our tiredness. They briefed us about all the facilities, included activities in our package & optional excursions that one can book there. We were escorted to our deluxe water villa with a private pool. They showed & explained to us all the amenities of the villa. Once you open the door of your room, you’ll be transported to another world!. The feeling of entering the villa is nothing less than feeling like entering the ocean. You can see the unobstructed view of the huge ocean from any corner of the villa. It’s so beautiful!

When we were on the flight, we thought we will reach our accommodation and take a nap before getting into the water. But, oh lord, that plan was a joke. All our tiredness just vanished in a  minute when we started soaking in the resplendence of the Maldives. We changed our clothes & jumped into the ocean from our villa. We were still sinking in the feeling that we were literally in a dreamy location & living this best & the blessed life!

We were in the ocean for a good two hours and came out of it when we got super hungry like sharks. After a quick shower & we rushed to the restaurant for our lunch! Came back to the villa got into the water again, jumped into the pool, and dived in the ocean. Even if you are just sitting and relaxing you will have a beautiful company of fishes in the lagoons.

Then we went for the dolphin & sunset cruise which was just mind-blowing. We literally saw thousands of dolphins galloping, swimming & racing with our cruise. What a sight it was! If you are in the Maldives, do not miss SCUBA diving, the experience of SCUBA diving there is unbeatable. That’s how we literally spent our cozy, romantic, adventurous, fun-filled four nights in the Maldives.

When you are in the Maldives, you are going to be in-house all the time, except when you are going for island hopping or any other excursions that you booked. However, there are no markets or shopping places nearby a private island resort. It’s just the ocean, your villa, the huge resort you are staying in. This is the best place if you just have three to four days to spend in leisure and really need a break from a mundane life schedule. It will be really difficult to get back to the normal course of life after this beautiful escape!

So, our days usually looked like being in the pool or swimming in the ocean, going for our meals to different restaurants in the resort, and exploring different cuisines. Listening to music, going for water activities, spending some time with the marine life by snorkeling, feeding baby sharks & stingrays are what kept us hopping like babies! You can see the fishes even when you are not in the water around the perimeter of your villa. It is such an amazing feeling!  We still miss the feeling of waking up to the ocean in the morning. We had never witnessed more beautiful sunrises & sunsets in any other place than the Maldives in our entire lives. Every minute the sky keeps changing its color in the Maldives. No obstruction between the ocean & sky, nowhere! So, that was my two cents on the grandeur of the Maldives and I am sure it made your itchy feets itchier to plan a vacation in the Maldives right away!
